I enjoyed singing this song about Galveston, my beautiful hometown and a great place to live and visit! The video was produced in 2009 by my nephew, Matt Gonzalez from Matagon Productions and arrangement of music was recreated in 2005 by Ronnie King of California.
The genius behind the original song Galveston is world renowned songwriter Jimmy Webb with the incredibly talented Glenn Campbell performing the song...Galveston.
This version first played during my presentation as the first Hispanic President for the Galveston Association of Realtors in 2009.
It seemed it was the perfect piece to present to my real estate colleagues and community as we all struggled to move forward with our lives, professions, and island's infrastructure following Hurricane Ike, which struck 3 months prior.
